The EQV is an all-electric multi-purpose vehicle. With a range quoted as 211 miles, it's ideal for family days out. And, of course, there's plenty of space to get everyone comfortably in (you can even load up the camping equipment and dog if adventures are on the itinerary).
Mercedes Benz, like other EV manufacturers, are constantly working on reducing charging times. Where and how you charge the EQV very much dictates how quickly you'll be 'full', but on a rapid public charger you can go from 10% to 80% in an impressive 45 minutes. That's incredibly useful if you forget to charge up completely before your trip away and need to make a 'top-up' stop.
It's actually very impressive. It's relaxed, it's refined but it has enough acceleration to make it quick off the mark. It's a pretty good cruiser too another serious plus point for those longer trips away.
On the open road, it feels reassuringly stable and beautifully quiet, even when compared to other electric MPVs in this class. The driving position is high, giving you great all-round visibility making it a confident drive on motorways. Add to that the air suspension and you might just feel like you're gliding over any lumps and bumps in the road.
In the city, all that space means plenty of room for shopping trips, even if you decide to take the kids along. The impressive visibility is good for parking and you'll find the EQV surprisingly easy to pivot into tight spaces, for a vehicle of this size. All in all, it seems that Mercedes has gone all out here. It's electric, it's a people carrier and it handles well enough to make driving your new favourite hobby.
