If Mercedes isn't the first name that springs to mind when you're asked to think of electrically-powered luxury 4x4s, it's probably time that it was!
We all know and (mostly) love Mercedes-Benz, so it's reassuring to know that the EQC doesn't feel a million miles away from any other SUVs made by this revered manufacturer. It's business as usual, albeit with silent electric power.
In our opinion, if you can drive a Mercedes 4x4 and still look cut your carbon footprint to play your part in looking after the planet, you're onto a real winner.
This is a 4x4 that's incredibly refined. It's quiet and smooth, whether you're hitting the country roads or eating up the motorway miles. The ride is soft enough to be comfortable without being too soft you can feel the road but it's all in a very gentle way.
Innovation is evident in every corner of this car. We love the regenerative braking, which can be set at several levels. Check out the efficiency-chasing 'auto' setting. When you activate this, the tech uses camera and radar sensors, as well as navigation data, to plan for what's ahead on the road. This includes the speed of the car you're behind, any hills, road camber, junctions, corners and speed limits. It uses all this data in real-time to give you a dashboard guide of when to 'lift early and coast'. This can feel a bit strange at first - but give it time! It means you'll get more range overall. Rumour has it that this is the future!
No surprises, the interior is Mercedes in all the best possible ways. Take a look inside the cabin of the EQC 4x4 and we think you may well decide this is the car for you!
