The E-Tron Hatchback is a car that turns heads and changes minds - those minds that might not have been willing to consider an electric vehicle until now.
It's no secret that the audience for electric cars has economy as well as planet-friendly motoring at the forefront of their minds. It could be said that aesthetics have taken a back seat. But not so with the E-Tron Hatchback. Audi's designers have really pulled out all the stops when it comes to the sheer visual impact of this hatchback. It has the sleek silhouette of a coupe. There are snarlingly aggressive bumpers and cutting-edge digital matrix LED headlights. And that's just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the list of up-styling.
There are three variants of the Audi E-Tron to choose from, all with different ranges and power outputs. The 50 Quattro has a 71kWh battery that provides 309bhp and a possible range of 190 on a single charge. The 55 Quattro has a 95kWh battery providing 402bhp and a 247-mile range. Top of the spec pile is the S. The S has the same 95kWh battery as the 55 but boosts power to 496bhp. Of course, the downside of delivering all that power is a slightly reduced range of 225 miles.
Just as you'd expect from Audi, all versions provide an excellent drive, handle well and perform with style whether you're munching up the motorway miles, nipping around town or hitting the country roads.
Inside, the E-Tron continues to tick boxes. Audi is renowned for the high-end quality of its car interiors and the E-Tron is no exception. The cockpit feels luxurious and the space and functionality are both well-thought-out.
